Love Scam – Part 2

mouseIt’s been more than a month since I posted an entry on Love Scam. Somehow, back then my instinct already told me that that would not be the last I’d talk about it. Ever since that post, at least 3 women found my blog and made some comments about the very same guy (email: dr.david3178@yahoo.com, phone numbers: +447024055831 or +447024096970) who tried his luck with me.

All these women have one thing in common, that is the same guy had approached them one way or another for friendship and money. While I sit here and write about him (or her) other women would probably be getting invitations from him to chat or befriend him. How these people do it is a wonder to me but come to think of it, this might just be what they live to do everyday. This might be the way they foot their bills and earn their living. It doesn’t matter to them if they make others lose the money as long as they get what they want. It doesn’t matter to them if the women they scam get hurt or go bankrupt at the end of the ordeal. It definitely doesn’t matter to them if they obtain the money by means of cheating and lying because it is never a question of moral issues with these idiots. It’s all about their selfish gains.

There’s really no best way to help the victims of these love scams because the only thing you can do is exercise good judgment and really, really, read between the lines when you are faced with a scammer. Most of the time it is not that difficult because their stories usually make you ask yourself “can this be true?”. When that happens you should know that the better part of your brain is telling you to re-think and your defense mechanism is already kicking in. At the very least, you should be able to trust your own instincts and as long as you get that instinct, all you need to do is take a step back, rub your chin and look at the problem in a different angle (that is take your feelings out of the issue and let your brain do the thinking). If that doesn’t work google the shithead’s information on the internet and if that doesn’t work, try looking-up sites like these:

Scammers usually win when you let your guard down and they work best when your empathy, sympathy, desire and emotions get in the way. If what they are offering you sounds too good to be true, it usually is. Your part is to reassure yourself that there is no get-rich-quick scheme nor is there a get-love-quick scheme. Yes, relationships require some labor but the top of your list should be practicing good judgement. So learn to practice good judgement and quick thinking. I wish you well in finding love but more importantly I wish you safety.
